PhD degree in Mineralogy, Petrology and Crystallography (2000), since 2002 he has been a research technician at the Centro Grandi Strumenti.

He is involved in the crystallographic characterization of synthetic compounds and of minerals, performed through single-crystal X-ray diffraction experiments.

Co-author (crystallographer) in publications involving minerals, inorganic and organic chemical compounds, and material science (130 publications, H index 29, Web of Science database 2024), since 2017 he has become also the technician who assists users of the JEOL TEM during observations of their samples.
