Core Facilities are centralized laboratories within a network or a single research center, with the aim of facilitating access to complex instruments and technologies through the experience and competence of dedicated staff.
The Italian Network of Core Facilities (NICo) was born in 2022 from the initiative of a group of universities and research institutions who felt the need to compare and share experiences of managing infrastructures to support national research in the field of life sciences.
The initiative, aimed at creating positive synergies and increasing the visibility of the core facilities in the Italian research landscape, is based on a participatory and sharing approach.
