As part of the Mate-Lab activities of the Department of Civil Engineering and Architecture, testing equipment was developed for mechanical tests on biomimetic plates with acetabular prostheses. The setup enables tensile, torsion, and flexural tests using rods with threading that complies with American (UNF/UNC) or European (ISO) standards.
