X500B QTOF Quadrupole/Time of Flight (Sciex) is a high-performance UHPLC-HRMS/MS system.
Features include: mass range 1–40 kDa, MS/MS scan speed up to 100 Hz, resolution ≥ 42,000 (FWHM), MS/MS sensitivity of 1.0 pg of reserpine on column, accuracy < 2 ppm, Turbo V source with Twin Sprayer ESI/APCI Probe, acquisition modes in Full Scan, targeted (IDA) and untargeted (SWATH).
Data acquisition software: Sciex™ SCIEX OS.
This system is used for high-resolution accurate mass analysis, for the characterization of biomolecules (metabolomics, bottom-up and top-down proteomics, lipidomics) and for the identification and quantification of molecules in different biological matrices and plant extracts.
Available methods:
- High-resolution (HRMS) analysis of ionizable compounds in solution by direct infusion, providing exact mass for elemental formula confirmation;
- Qualitative/quantitative analysis of small molecules/biomarkers;
- Development of UHPLC-HRMS/MS methods for the identification and quantification of organic, biorganic, biopharmaceutical and organometallic compounds that are soluble and ionizable, in mixtures and complex matrices;
- Targeted and untargeted metabolomics studies;
- Structural characterization of peptides (Peptide Mapping);
- Intact protein analysis;
- Native protein analysis;
- Membrane lipid analysis;
- Monoclonal antibody analysis;
- Pharmacokinetic studies.
