Point scanning confocal microscope equipped with a 405nm Diode laser and a White Light Laser, tunable from 470nm to 670nm.

The White Laser allows for extremely precise selection of the excitation wavelength for each fluorophore: optimizing excitation efficiency reduces fluorophore photobleaching and sample photodamage.

The system is equipped with four detectors, including two hybrid detectors, a cage incubator for live cell imaging, and the AFC (Adaptive Focus Control) hardware focus control tool.

The Navigator tool for acquiring specific regions of the sample (mosaic and multipoint acquisition) and a 3D rendering tool are also available.

The system is also equipped with the STED (Stimulated Emission Depletion) super-resolution module with the 660nm depletion laser line which, thanks to the combination with the White Laser and the HyD detectors, allows the application of the gated STED (gSTED) technique, for the acquisition of signals with a spatial resolution of approximately 30nm in the xy plane and 130nm along the z axis.
